Join Justice2Jobs, an organization whose work is centered around incarcerated communities in Sacramento and providing resources for restorative justice, for the Essence of Black Girlhood Story Circles.
The Story Circles are for a documentary around the Sacramento Area, but participants are able to opt out of being recorded.
The purpose of the story circles and the documentary is to focus on generational trauma that Black women and femmes deal with and how community can overcome said issues. There is also a virtual option for participants who cannot make it in person. In person, food and other refreshments will be provided!
The first set story circles will be taking place this Saturday January 20th from 5-7pm in Del Paso Heights. The second session will be in Meadowview, January 27th from 3:30pm-6pm. And the final story circle will be in Oak Park, February 1st from 6pm-8:30pm.
