Important Advocacy Info Meeting Wednesday May 11th 5pm
The City of Sacramento has released its 22/23 draft budget with $2.6 million in proposed cuts to the Office of Arts and Culture.
Join us for a short info session on what you can do to speak up and prevent this from happening. The past two years have been incredibly difficult for our sector and will only be more challenging in the immediate as we work to rebuild our organizations and personal practices. We are tremendously grateful for the support the city has shown our sector during the pandemic, an investment that makes the current proposed cuts confusing. Now is not the time for the City of Sacramento to abandon its commitment to the arts!
This convening will be short, just enough time to get you the necessary info and talking points to help us advocate for our sector. If you can't make it, not to worry, the convening will be recorded.
